Recent Arrests

These are arrests that were recently on file with local law enforcement agencies.

Those arrested are innocent until found guilty in a court of law. (M) refers to misdemeanor crimes, (F) refers to felonies.

Charges: Failure to appear – possession of a firearm by felon (F)
Place of arrest: Church Street, Kings Mountain
Bond: $20,000 unsecured

Name: Carlos Lamont Sims
Age: 33
Address: Lawndale
Date of arrest: Sept. 2, 5:44 p.m.
Charges: Possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine (F), resisting a public officer (M), probation violation (M)
Place of arrest: In woods behind 305 Crawford St., Shelby
Description: Sims was found in possession of 5.6 grams of crack cocaine and six grams of marijuana.
Bond: No bond

Name: Dmartin Muhammad Jamison

Address: 211 Morrison St., Shelby
Date of arrest: Sept. 2, 9:01 p.m.
Charges: Possession of a stolen firearm (F)

Name: Micky Shellen Petty
Age: 50
Address: 2406 Ellis Road, Shelby
Date of arrest: Aug. 29, 6:10 p.m.
Charges: Possession with intent to sell and distribute cocaine (F), possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana (F)
Place of arrest: Roadway in front of 204 Palmer St.
Description: Petty was found in possession of three rocks of crack cocaine and 21 grams of marijuana.
Bond: $10,000 secured

Police State: Guilty Until Proven Innocent in a court of law. I hate to burst your bubble "crime reporter" but you have no idea how corrupt the Cleveland County courts really are until you are a defendant, falsely accused of a crime in Cleveland County. Then the district attorney Rick Shaffer and his assistant Katie Sawyer will try to get you convicted using perjured testimony.
