Volunteers Speak of Nearby Stabbing

A glimpse inside the home.

I spoke with CrimeStoppers President Gary Staymate who told me a stabbing took place nearby about an hour ago.

Project Safe Neighborhood Coordinator Frank Cloyd, also helping out this morning, confirmed the stabbing.

It is blistering hot out as volunteers work to remove pieces of the home, including the bathroom sink.

A bag of Bojangles boxes sits beside two coolers outside the home. Those coolers will be much needed as the heat increases.

For those wishing to help out with today's efforts, work on the home is expected to last until 4 or 5 p.m. Both volunteers and any type of supplies are needed.
