Robberies, Accreditation, and Justin Grant
A few things on my agenda this week:
- Kings Mountain Police were quick to make arrests in a Tuesday morning convenience store robbery. Now they're seeking those responsible for another morning robbery Wednesday. Back-to-back morning robberies in KM are very rare, an investigator told me. Read more in Thursday's Star.
- The Shelby Police Department has received international accreditation status the past two years. It's a prestigious law enforcement achievement but what does it mean to the average resident? I'll be speaking with police about it Friday.
- Several weeks have passed since my series detailing the murder last summer of Justin Grant. Investigators say they've received many new tips from the articles but are they any closer to finding the suspect? I plan to meet with them tomorrow.
