Gardner Street Home

Just blocks away from a shooting last night and a stabbing earlier this morning, volunteers are currently hard at work on a run-down home on Gardner Street.

The goal: to turn it into a short-term halfway house for those in need.

About a dozen people are in and outside 515 Gardner St., many wearing white masks as they rip out the insides of the home left in poor condition.

Those at the home say this is an effort that will last several weeks but check back throughout the day for updates on the progress.
