Tips

According to Sgt. Steve Seate of Shelby Police, there have been 10 tips to CrimeStoppers since last meeting - five to Shelby PD, four to CCSO, and 1 for a murder in Chesne, S.C.

Most city calls regard robberies in the past month.

"It seems like it's pretty good information," Seate said.

The CCSO calls are in reference to the most wanted, he said.

One Shelby call was in reference to a robbery of a person. Information helped in leading to making an arrest. William J. Hall and Alandis Smith were charged in robbing a man with a handgun.

Seate suggested a payout be made and the board agreed to pay out $150 to the tipster.
