Weekend in Charlotte
Just got back from my birthday adventure in Charlotte and thought I might share some photos.
My travel companion. She picked up the tab.
We stayed at the Omni hotel in Downtown Charlotte. 
Parking was beyond a headache because of a bicycle race that shut down a few downtown roads Saturday evening.
As shown here (look underneath the street light to see the tents, etc).
Because of the traffic issue, dinner was at Uno, a few blocks from the hotel. Not a necessarily rare restaurant but the downtown location has become a favorite of mine.
We left $65 poorer.
This was taken Sunday afternoon after lunch at Boardwalk Billy's, at Charlotte's University Place.
