Musical Greeting Cards

I am a big fan of the musical greeting card.

I got one for my birthday from the office (Literally. It was Michael from NBC's The Office talking about reverse psychology) and my dad sent two, one that plays the Batman movie theme and the other that plays The Matrix theme.

But the one that floored me was the card my girlfriend gave me. The text: "Another birthday isn't the end of the world."

So you open it up...

"It just seems that way!"

And then, out of thin air, plays a guilty pleasure of mine.

"IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!"

Yep, the same song by the same 80s hair band I featured in my music column last week.

It's been stuck in my head, and apparently hers too, for weeks.

That's good stuff, and obscure!

Maybe soon we'll also get cards featuring songs by New Kids on the Block and Marky Mark...
