Taste-T Closed
The Taste-T Drive-In restaurant was closed Tuesday following the death of founder Don Eaker.
Eaker, 73, died Tuesday morning at his home.
Taste-T, nextdoor to the Cleveland County Courthouse, has been a central part of Shelby since it opened more than 20 years ago.

Istarted working for Don And Jo at the foot of the hill when I was 16.
Iam now 44 and am working for their son at the top of the hill. Don was a great man. He helped make a smartaleck 16 year old into someone who takes pride in their work. Iam blessed to have known and worked for these people. Donna Ruppe
