An Eventful Morning

I don't think anyone in the newsroom is a fan of working the early morning shift. You're at work at 5:30 or 6 a.m., you make some calls to see if anything happened overnight. And usually those calls are met with "It's been quiet."

It's a nice change when things aren't so quiet in the morning.

I had just gotten into work this morning - and was making those calls - when a report came over the scanner that a car had hit a house and the driver was unresponsive. It was 6:11 a.m.

Here are the photos I took after I made it to Davis Road in Patterson Springs. A partial story is already at shelbystar.com. A complete story should be available this afternoon.

It was dark but skid marks clearly showed how the car drove off the road and across the front yard before hitting the car port.
