Did you hear the explosions Saturday night?

Did you think the Russians were invading as payback for Rocky IV?

...Maybe it was just me.

What you did hear - if you were anywhere close to Marion Street around 10 p.m. - were the fireworks going off to close this year's county fair.

This is a shot I took just minutes ago as I passed the fair on my way home.

The countdown now begins until the 2008 fair and my next funnel cake.
