Car Show Fundraiser
Some photographs taken this morning at the Emergency Apparatus & Car Show at the old Wal-Mart. The event was a fundraiser for 3-year-old Landyn Johnson, son of Boiling Springs Rescue Assistant Chief Kaleb Johnson.
Earlier this morning, Kaleb said his son loves emergency vehicles and was looking forward to coming by and being able to climb inside the various fire trucks and ambulances from first responders in both North and South Carolina.
Trophies will be handed out shortly and Landyn will choose his own favorite vehicle, which will also be awarded a trophy.
For those who couldn’t attend the car show, t-shirts are for sale with the money going towards Landyn’s treatments. Those interested can call the Boiling Springs Rescue Squad at (704) 434-7211 or Chief Shawn Neighbors at (704) 692-9540. Shirts are under $10 apiece.
We will have more on the story in Sunday's Star.
