Charles Road Fire

Here are some shots from a house fire this afternoon on Charles Road which killed a family dog.

Assistant Fire Chief Jake Whisnant said the fire started in the kitchen and left it's strongest mark in the attic. It took firefighters about 15 minutes to control the fire.

Family at the scene declined to comment.

The cause isn't yet known, Whisnant said, but the fire originated in the kitchen.
